Fulton arts center holds Memorial Day salute

3 artists to show works at Earlville Opera House

Three artists will open exhibits will open on Saturday, May 17, with a reception for the artists from noon to 3 p.m., and run through Monday, July 7 at the Earlville Opera House, 18 E. Rochester museum exhibits celebrate summertime

Fine Print Program works on display at Light Work

The exhibition Artist to Artist: Light Work’s Fine Print Program, runs Thursday, May 15, through July 16 in the Hallway Gallery of Light Work on the Syracuse University campus. Featuring works by more than 20 photographers. The Fine Print Program offers works donated by artists for sale to the public at affordable prices.

Everson hosts pastel-painting workshop

The Joy of Pastels, a three-day pastel-painting workshop for all skill levels, will be held Thursday, May 15, through Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Everson Museum of Art. Community Folk Art Center seeks SU alumni artworks

The Community Folk Art Center is seeking African-American and Latino alumni of Syracuse University to submit their artworks by June 1 for its Coming Back Together 2014 Alumni Exhibition. CNY Jazz Central Workshop welcomes saxophonist
This year’s CNY Jazz Central’s Summer Jazz Workshop guest artist-clinician is renowned saxophonist and educator, Gary Smulyan. Carrie Underwood to play Grandstand

Mark Doyle to play APT
Mark Doyle, his band and a five-piece string ensemble will perform 8 p.m. Friday at the Auburn Public Theater, 8 Exchange St., Auburn. Tickets are $15 or $13.50 for members.

Kids to learn, perform Shakespeare in Thornden Park

Children in the fifth through 12th grades will learn about theater, culminating with their performance of a scene from Shakespeare, in the Syracuse Shakespeare Festival and Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation and Youth Programs’ annual Summer KIDS program, which runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, July 7, through Friday, July 11, in Syracuse’s Thornden Park Amphitheater. The $125 cost can be waived in cases of need. You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown coming to Fulton

The CNY Arts Center will present the musical You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown the weekends of June 6-8 and 13-15 at the center, 357 State St., Fulton. Hair to be performed in Auburn
