Green is the color of environmental friendliness. It symbolizes renewable energy, efficiency and global consciousness. But it’s also the color of cash.

Todd and Michelle Brundage have been married for 7-1/2 years. They’ve been doing yoga together for three years. And as of two months ago, they’re business partners. The Brundages, along with friend Dan Bebber, own Om Boys, a juice and smoothie bar that opened Oct. 16 in Liverpool. The juice bar caters to a healthy and natural lifestyle. They serve all-natural juices and smoothies loaded with nutrients as well as healthful soups and salads.

Growing up, I dreamed of becoming a musician. I picked up a guitar at age 13, learned a few power chords and discovered distortion and reverb. I planned on being the next Jimi Hendrix. It wasn’t until I grew up that I realized I lacked a crucial component: talent. So I gave up and decided to write about musicians instead. And thank God for that, because—as I learned at the Music Industry Conference, held last weekend at the OnCenter—being a musician is tough as hell.
