A new documentary film produced by a local man and premiering Saturday, June 4, at the Redhouse features eight such families sharing their very personal and powerful stories of loss, grieving and recovery.

Horse Fever

When millions of American horseracing fans tuned in to watch the NBC Sports broadcast of the 137th Kentucky Derby on May 7, they probably didn’t think too far beyond the two minutes it took for Animal Kingdom to outrun his competitors to the finish line. Most of the horses that started that day will go on to other races with varying degrees of success before their racing days come to an end.
