It’s never too early to start thinking about the New York State Fair. Applications are now available for entertainers, including jugglers, singers, dancers and the like, to participate in the fair, set for Aug. 22 to Sept. 2. Applications are divided into two forms, one for music and one for grounds entertainment (such as Hilby the Skinny German Juggle Boy, pictured, who usually hangs out near the Center of Progress building between Chevy Court shows), so performers can select the venue that is best for their particular talents. Applications will be reviewed on a continuing basis, and selected entertainers will be notified. Find more information and the application on the Fair’s website, nysfair.org.
