It’s awards season, and the accolades extend all the way to Syracuse, with the March 8 Syracuse Area Music Awards, scheduled to take place at the Palace Theatre, 2384 James St.
To get locals excited about the Sammys, and to showcase some fine Salt City music, Bridge Street, the WSYR-Channel 9 morning news magazine airing weekdays at 10 a.m., broadcasts a “Sammy’s Spotlight” each week leading up to the awards show. Here is the schedule: Thursday, Jan. 31, The Mike McKay Band; Friday, Feb. 8: Just Joe; Thursday, Feb. 14: E.S.P.; Thursday, Feb. 21, The Easy Ramblers; Thursday, Feb. 28, Donna Colton; and Thursday, March 7, The Action!
