Blues for a Benefit

.
. . . . . .

When Hurricane Sandy ravaged the east coast on Monday, Oct. 29, entire cities and communities were left displaced without homes, power and gas. Some still haven’t regained power and others will never regain things and people lost in the storm.

But when hardship hits, organizations and individuals come together and Live Space Entertainment has teamed up with SubCat Studios of Syracuse and Sojourn Records of Brooklyn to help the relief effort. The partners have joined together to make a live recording of the legendary Blues Project as the band reunites for a show at the Catherine Cummings Theater, 16 Lincklaen St., Cazenovia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13. The group, originally formed in 1965, will feature original members Roy Blumenfeld on drums, guitarist Danny Kalb and guitarist Steve Katz (also a founding member of Blood, Sweat and Tears). Mark Nanni and
Dos Blancos (Steve Winston and Colin Aberdeen) will open the show and partial proceeds will benefit victims of the hurricane.

Tickets are available for $25 at Sound Garden, 310 W. Jefferson St. and at brownpapertickets.com. For tickets and more information, call 800-838-3006 or 655-STAR.
