The Syracuse University football team got its first victory in nearly a year, with the Sept. 15 28-17 win over the Stony Brook Seawolves. Although they fought the good fight, Stony Brook, oddly a member of the Big South Conference (they won the title in 2011), weren’t able to overcome the will of the Orangemen, including this third-quarter reception by tight end Beckett Wales that set up a touchdown that put the team up 21-17. Next up for SU is an away game against the Golden Gophers of Minnesota, Saturday, Sept. 22, at 8 p.m.
