The daylong Water is Life music festival on Saturday, Sept. 15, starting at 11 a.m., presents a slew of musical acts including the Fabulous Ripcords, Joe Driscoll, Corn-Bred, Colleen Kattau and more, plus guest speakers such as Onondaga Nation faithkeeper Oren Lyons (pictured as he cut the rug at July’s Stage of Nations EcoFest) as they unite the community against the perils of hydrofracking. The fest takes place at the Onondaga Nation Athletic Field, off Route 11A, Nedrow. Admission is free, with food, arts and crafts available. For information, call 492-1922.
