Attention Runners

.
. . . . . .

Fleet Feet Syracuse and the Syracuse New Times have teamed up to give away two free entries to the running store’s fall training programs, both with the Jingle Bell Run (pictured), on Nov. 18, the race to train for.

The Personal Best Advanced 5K program is designed for those who can already run three miles without stopping, but who want to improve their time to complete the distance. It also is a 10-week, coached program that includes a weekly speed workout. The Personal Best program will take place on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. at Long Branch Park, Longbranch Road, Liverpool. The program begins this Sunday, Sept. 9.

The New Balance No Boundaries program is aimed at those with little to no running experience who would like to complete their first 5K road race. It is a 10-week, coached training program that includes a weekly group run. The group will meet Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. at Onondaga Lake Park, near the Griffin Visitor Center, Liverpool. The program begins Sept. 15.

Both programs are valued at $125. Interested runners can enter to win by emailing the answers to these questions to: editorial@syracusenewtimes.com. You must answer both questions correctly. Deadline is Friday, Sept. 7, at noon. The answers can be found in this week’s New Times. Question #1: What was Sen. John DeFrancisco’s favorite fantasy for Destiny USA, as posited by the Pyramid Companies? Question #2: What perennial favorite running race is this weekend in Liverpool?
