The Syracuse University Orangemen look to redeem their 2011 season when the won five games and lost seven (and went 1-for-6 in the Big East) on Saturday, Sept. 1, at noon. The Wildcats of Northwestern University enter the Carrier Dome, 900 Irving Ave., for the first time in three years; that game, Sept. 20, 2009, resulted in a 37-24 Orange victory. Many questions abound for head coach Doug Marrone (pictured from the Nov. 26, 2011 game against Cincinnati) this season, and he no doubt hopes to answer a good deal of them with an opening game victory.
