They’re rounding third and heading to home, those Triple-A Boys of Summer. And the Syracuse Chiefs are doing it in style, with a homestand that lasts through Tuesday, Aug. 21. Standing 9½ games out of first place (as of press time), there’s little hope for the Chiefs’ postseason. And as the schedule stands, after this homestand the Chiefs won’t be back inside Alliance Bank Stadium, 1 Tex Simone Drive, until just before the season ends. Take in games against the Toledo Mud Hens on Wednesday, Aug. 15 through Friday; all games are at 7 p.m., and Friday’s contest features post-game fireworks. The Indianapolis Indians close out the homestand with games Saturday, Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 5 p.m. Tickets cost $12 to $20 for adults, with prices discounted for children. 474-7833 or syracusechiefs.com.
