Syracuse Shakespeare Festival’s annual free summertime production at the Thornden Park Amphitheater, off Ostrom Avenue on the Syracuse University Hill, will be Henry IV, Part I, which offers royal intrigue such as the squabble between Prince Hal (played by Jeremiah Thompson) and Hotspur (Basil Allen)
for the throne of England. This week’s showtimes will be Friday, June
22, and Saturday, June 23, 5:30 p.m., and Sunday, June 24, 2 p.m., with
more performances next week until its closing on June 30. Bring lawn
chairs and blankets to enjoy the show, and the festival does accept
