Window Dressing

Something artsy is going on in the front window display of The New Times. Walk or drive by our building at 1415 W. Genesee St., and prepare to feast your eyes on an eclectic collection of student artwork. Recruited from a Syracuse University public spaces design course, students Jill Cutspec, Daniella Franco, Agata Kawalec and Alissa Way have devised four original pieces to grace our front window, with work ranging from a frilly white paper gown to a multicolored bird-like creature that stands several feet tall. Three of the four students used old issues of The New Times to form their creations—creative upcycling at its best. Each piece deserves a gawk, but hurry. The display changes each month.
