Hairy Plotters

Get loopy with a lupine-themed creature feature double bill on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2:30 and 7 p.m., at Rome’s Capitol Theatre, 220 W. Dominick St. First comes the 1935 Universal thriller Werewolf of London, with Henry Hull as the snarling fullmoon monster who puts the bite on fellas like Warner Oland from the Charlie Chan series; just don’t expect a Warren Zevon song on the soundtrack. That’s followed by the 1961 Hammer Studios horror hit The Curse of the Werewolf, with young Oliver Reed getting hirsute amid the Technicolor-drenched thrills.

Both movies will be screened in 35mm prints. Admission is $5.50 for adults, $1.50 for children. Call 337- 6453 for information.
