A trio of gay-centric flicks will be screened during the inaugural eQuality Film Fest 2011, taking place on Sunday, Oct. 9, 1 p.m., at Eastwood’s Palace Theater, 2384 James St. Proceeds from the movies will benefit the AIDS Community Resources’ Q Center, 627 W. Genesee St., which offers support groups, workshops and programs for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth, their allies and their parents. The day kicks off with a 2 p.m. showing of the documentary Fagbug (below, shown during its cruise at the 2010 Pride Parade), accompanied by filmmaker Erin Davies and her rainbow-painted Volkswagen. At 4:30 p.m. is another documentary, Inlaws and Outlaws, with its director, Nottingham High School graduate Drew Emery, also on hand. Wrapping the day is a 7:30 p.m. screening of the new comedy Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same (above, with Jackie Monohan, Cynthia Kaplan and Susan Ziegler), which scored at last winter’s Sundance Film Festival. Admission for one film is $10, with all three flicks costing $25, plus there is a VIP pass available for $50. For more information, call 475-2430.
