The Last Picture Show?

.
. . . . . .

Nobody’s talking but it could be the last weekend ever for the double-screen West Rome Drive-In, Route 69 in Rome (336- 9440), with its 60-year run coming to a possible end to make way for a proposed auto dealership. The ozoner (pictured) bids its 2011 farewell with two triple features on Friday, Sept. 2, through Monday, Sept. 5, starting at 8 p.m.: the familyfriendly Spy Kids 4, The Smurfs and Zookeeper on one side and the R-rated Bad Teacher, Friends with Benefits and The Change-Up on the other. Meanwhile, the Midway Drive-In, Route 48 in Minetto (593-0699) fields its annual dusk-to-dawn Labor Day weekend show starting Friday at 8 p.m. with The Smurfs, Cowboys and Aliens and Limitless, and adding Kung Fu Panda 2 and Fast Five to the program for Saturday, Sept. 3, and Sunday. And the Finger Lakes Drive-In, Routes 5 and 20, outside of Auburn (252-3969), offers a four-flick blowout Friday through Sunday at 8 p.m. that includes Winnie the Pooh, Spy Kids 4, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Fright Night.
