The Wiyos

Fresh from a recent European tour, the eclectic trio will entertain at the Nelson Odeon, 4035 Nelson Road in—where else?—Nelson, on Friday, June 3, 8 p.m. The band has yet to be pigeonholed, with its deconstruction of traditional Americana musical idioms gaining lots of admirers, including openingact honors when Bob Dylan was touring. The Wiyos will surely introduce the Odeon audience to its work-in-progress musical tribute to The Wizard of Oz, with more plans in which the current triumvirate of Michael Farkas, Teddy Weber and Sauerkraut Seth Travins could expand to a quintet to flesh out their sonic experience.
