Dancing with Our Stars

The fourth annual hoof-hearted hoedown doubles as a dinner-and-dancing benefit for the George and Rebecca Barnes Foundation and its restoration of the 930 James St. mansion that was part of the Underground Railroad during the 19th century. The fun comes with watching local celebrities with two left feet, such as 93Q morningdrive radio personality Amy Robbins, trip the light fantastic to the ballroom music of the Susan Taylor Trio. Syracuse New Times publisher Bill Brod (right) will show off his new happy-feet moves with Dance Arts Studio instructor Linda Facciponte (left), as the pair groove to selections made popular by Elvis Presley and Salt-N-Pepa. Dancing with Our Stars takes place Saturday, April 9, 5:30 to 11 p.m., at the Pirro Convention Center at OnCenter, 800 S. State St. Tickets are $125 for the black-tie-optional affair.
