Open Hand Theater continues with its holiday run of Gian Carlo Menotti’s family-oriented opera, with the 2010 edition featuring the singing voice of Syracuse’s favorite baritone Bob Brown as Balthazar the Egyptian king. The other main attraction, of course, comes with the papier-mache parade of king-size puppets to visually enhance the longago tale of three kings, a young shepherd and his mom. This year’s production runs at the First English Lutheran Church, corner of James and Townsend streets, with final performances on Friday, Dec. 17, 8 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 18, 2 and 8 p.m. Admission is $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
