We may best Rochester perennially for the Golden Snowball Award, but they beat us, calendar-wise, in celebrating the white stuff. If you want a head start on winterfest-type activities, head west for Rochester’s 10th annual Coldrush, taking place through March.

“We live in a four-season destination,” noted Visit Rochester president and  CEO Ed Hall, “and one of those seasons is winter; let’s enjoy it.” Home to numerous skiing facilities, ice skating rinks and parks for sledding, you can also enjoy winter through Rochester’s plethora of indoor activities at its impressive museums, galleries and other cultural venues. Read all about what’s in store for Coldrush in the insert included in this week’s Syracuse New Times.
