National Kidney Foundation

.
. . . . . .

The National Kidney Foundation has
operated its Kidney Car program since 1983 and it’s one of the oldest
car donation programs in the United States. Over 685,000 people have
donated their cars, trucks and boats to this program and it has helped
saved countless lives. If you need any more reason to donate your
vehicle to this worthwhile organization, consider that the National
Kidney Foundation has recycled more than 46,000 tons of materials,
saving it from filling landfills and putting it to better use? So you
are saving lives and helping the environment!

Your donation is well-spent with the
National Kidney Foundation. But where does the money go? More than 81
cents of every dollar the Foundation receives goes directly to vital
programs and services right here in our community. Chronic kidney
disease affects more than 26 million people in America, and more than
21 million are at risk of developing it. Over 355,000 people rely on
dialysis machines to keep them alive while waiting for a transplant.
Those are shocking statistics aren’t they? The National Kidney
Foundation helps by offering patient and community services and
educational programs to inform them about chronic kidney disease and
the importance of early detection and the need for organ donation. They
also help identify new treatments and fund early detection screenings.
Who knew that your old clunker could do so much good?

Donating is easy – you can either call
(800) 488-CARS, and follow their instruction, or you can go to
kidneycars.org and see if your old clunker has what it takes to be
donated. The instructions will let you know how to get your car picked
up for free, or if you want to drop it off, they will tell you where to
go. Don’t let this easy deduction go to waste! Donate your car for a
cause!
