Green Hills Are Alive

.
. . . . . .

“Last year was huge,” notes director of
marketing Hilarie Zani. “We had so many customers and about 25
different local farmers, producers or manufacturers and people just
loved meeting their neighbors and finding out about products made
locally and, of course, tasting them. We decided to do it again because
it was so popular.”

At the same time, because the festival
is held inside the 5933 S. Salina St. store, space considerations meant
about the same number of vendors would be on hand. Some are new,
however. Among them: Brick Farm, from Madison County, which sells organic eggs; Joeys Italian Restaurant and its pasta sauces; North Country Farms, out of Sackets Harbor; and Toms Bootleg BBQ Sauce, created by Tom Armstrong, a chef at Skaneateles’ Rosalie’s Cucina.

For more information on the tasting festival, call Green Hills at 492-1707 or visit www.greenhills.com.
