During a press conference held May 5 at Empire Brewing Company,
120 Walton St., event organizers announced that the Blues Fest will run
on Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, from 12:30 to 11 p.m. on
both days in Clinton Square, while the Brew Fest will take
place on Friday, July 10, 5 to 10 p.m., in Clinton Square. Admission to
the Blues Fest is free, while tickets to the Brew Fest will cost $35,
and may be purchased at www.empirebrewfest.com. For general information

Friday’s Brew Fest will include these bands: The Bagpipe Dudes, Merit, Los Blancos, Horseshoe Lounge Playboys, The Dinosaurs, Blue Sky Mission Club, The Josh Dion Band and the The Buddhahood Second Line Parade.



Performers for Saturday’s Blues Fest showcase will include: The Delinquents (12:30 to 1:15 p.m.), Chris Beard (1:15 to 2:45 p.m.), The Fabulous Ripcords (2:45 to 3:30 p.m.), Popa Chubby (3:30 to 5 p.m.), Rory Block (5 to 6:30 p.m.), The Alexis P. Sutter Band (6:30 to 8 p.m.), J Collins and the Kings Country Band (8 to 9:30 p.m.) and Savoy Brown (9:30 to 11 p.m.). Special guest Dan Aykroyd, a bona fide Blues Brother, will also appear on Saturday night.



Sunday’s slate continues with: Tas Cru and the Slow Happy Boys (12:30 to 1:15 p.m.), Chris Bergson (1:15 to 2:45 p.m.),, Dan Bliss (2:45 to 3:45 p.m.), Bruce Katz with Joe Beard (3:45 to 5:45 p.m.), The Josh Dion Band (5:45 to 6:30 p.m.),John Mooney and Bluesiana (6:30 to 8 p.m.), A Tribute to Roosevelt Dean (8 to 9:30 p.m.) and John Hammond (9:30 to 11 p.m.).
