Leukemia Lymphoma Society

.
. . . . . .

I am extremely honored to participate in this year’s campaign. I am running on behalf of one-year-old Lila Hennessy, who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) at the age of four weeks. Lila’s treatment involved five rounds of chemotherapy, each involving five long weeks in the hospital. At such a young age, Lila has proven herself to be a true fighter!

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society provides resources for families like Lila’s. It is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. The Society’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Since it’s founding in 1949, the Society has provided more than $550 million for research specifically targeting leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

In reality, becoming Woman of the Year is simply a means to an end. You see, each dollar donated is not only a vote for me, but a vote to help find a cure. What is of utmost importance is that your donations will help me achieve my goal on behalf of Lila and the many adults and children who endure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma each year.

How can you help?

Thank you in advance for your support! Regardless of the outcome, we can all share in the satisfaction of knowing that we are making a positive difference in the lives of those afflicted by these terribly diseases. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at (315) 243-3122.

With Deepest Gratitude,

Stephanie Sauda
