Racers will have a chance to snub the white stuff at
this year’s Syracuse Winterfest Snowshoe 5K, a race to be held at
Sunnycrest Park, Caleb Avenue, on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 1:30 p.m.
Snowshoe rentals will be available for $5 for those who don’t own their
own racing gear, courtesy of Fleet Feet and Crescent Moon. Registration
will take place from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. at the park’s ski lodge. For
more information, call 446-1444. Also during the Winterfest will be the
Great Snowman Convention (pictured), a showcase of snowman-induced
artwork from local students, will be held at Sunnycrest and Meachem ice
