The Onondaga Historical Association’s Museum and Research Center,
321 Montgomery St., harbors many of the cultural relics that have
defined the character of Syracuse over the years. OHA curator Dennis Connors’s new coffee-table book, Historic Photos of Syracuse
(Turner Publishing, $39.95), tells the urban tale in which the Salt
City made the transition from a central Erie Canal stop to an
industrial workhorse. Connors will sign copies of the book at Barnes & Noble Bookstore, 3454 Erie Blvd. E., DeWitt, on Thursday, Jan. 29, 7 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, call 428-1864.
