The Everson Museum of Art, 401
Harrison St., plays host to annual displays of eclectic holiday tree
arrangements, forming an aesthetically beautiful holiday tradition.
This year’s display, dubbed Everson Unwrapped, will open with a
reception on Thursday, Dec. 4, 7 to 10 p.m. Musical concerts and other
special events will accompany the exhibit throughout its run, which
concludes on Sunday, Dec. 14. The formal, opening night gala will cost
$60 for general admission and $75 for patrons. The trees are available
for viewing for a $5 fee (children under 5 are free) during special
museum hours, daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., until Dec. 14, with a later
closing time at 9 p.m. on Dec. 11. Then on Sunday, Dec. 7, noon to 2
p.m., children can take in the tree display after the annual
kid-oriented Teddy Bear Tea, with 93Q-tie Amy Robbins as emcee of the Everson fund-raiser at the nearby Hotel Syracuse Grand Ballroom,
500 S. Warren St. The Teddy Bear Tea will cost $20 for children and $25
for adults; advanced registration is required. For more information,
call 474-6064.
