The Talent Company unveils its mounting of Mel Brooks’ musical-comedy smash The Producers for a five-weekend run at the New York State Fairgrounds’ New Times Theater. Just in case you’re not familiar with the setup, desperate producer Max Bialystock (played by Joe Spado) and his accountant-schnook Leo Bloom (Ryan Boyle) attempt to swindle money from a gaggle of elderly women by producing a sure-fire Broadway flop titled Springtime for Hitler,
but their gamble backfires when the show becomes a hit. The show kicks
off with performances on Friday, Nov. 7, and Saturday, Nov. 8, 8 p.m.,
and Sunday, Nov. 9, 2 p.m., with the same showtimes each weekend
through Dec. 7. Tickets are $16 to $25. For more information, call
479-SHOW.
