German Expressionism

.
. . . . . .

The festival season winds down with the 48th annual Great Syracuse Oktoberfest, taking place in Clinton Square
on Friday, Sept. 19, and Saturday, Sept. 20, noon to 11 p.m., and
Sunday, Sept. 21, noon to 6 p.m. The fest celebrates everything German,
from authentic mainland food and hops, to musical and cultural
phenomenons–although there’s been no David Hasselhoff tribute scheduled
as of yet. The Enzian Bavarian Band and Dancers will headline the entertainment during the daytime activities each day, while the not-so-German Frostbit Blue and Whisky Mae close out Friday night, and the ubiquitous cover-band favorites Under the Gun headline Saturday night. Sunday is Family Day,
with clowns, games, balloons, face-painting and more. Admission is
free; call 675-8321 for more information or visit
www.germanamericanscny.net.
