Salty Dogs

.
. . . . . .

Once a major industrial center known
almost exclusively for its output of salt, Syracuse’s history has
always been commemorated at the Salt Museum at Onondaga Lake Park, 106 Lake Drive, Liverpool. The museum will celebrate 75 years of operation with the Salt Boilers Ball on Saturday, Sept. 13, 5 to 10 p.m., not at the museum but at LeMoyne Manor,
800 Old Liverpool Road, Liverpool. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gale, the last
major salt manufacturers of the city, will be re-enacted during the
event, which will also include food, music from the Salt Potato Band and a costume contest. Tickets to the fund-raiser are $45. For more information, call 622-9665.
