Those who mosey on down to the annual moe.down festival, each year held at Snow Ridge Ski Resort,
4173 West Road, Turin, may typically be the kind that show up in a
shaggin’ wagon full of smoke; concomitantly, they sure do like their
music. Fans will have a chance to spread the good lovin’ again this
year when the fest kicks off on Friday, Aug. 29, starting at 5 p.m.,
then continues on Saturday, Aug. 30, and Sunday, Aug. 31, at noon both
days. Dozens of bands will jam amid the purple haze, including an
appearance by ever-the-hippie banjoist Bela Fleck with the Sparrow Quartet at 9 p.m. on Friday, as well as a strange brew of improvisational sounds via the vibes of the Yonder Mountain String Band at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, and, of course, headliners moe.
clocking in for the night shift on each day of the festival. Tickets
for the three-day fest are $105. For more information, call 472-0700.
