Musing: My Religion

.
. . . . . .

You won’t likely spot Salma Hayek, the femme-fatale actress who portrayed a muse in Kevin Smith’s heady religious spoof Dogma, at this year’s ninth annual Musefest. Instead, you’ll have a great opportunity to see performances from a smorgasbord of local and national jam bands: Ekoostic Hookah, Jsan and the Analogue Sons, SeepeopleS, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Ithaca’s own Blue Sky Mission Club
and dozens of other acts will entertain fans of the never-ending,
amorphous jam. The festival will be held on Friday, Aug. 22, through
Sunday, Aug. 24, at noon each day, at Newhart’s Lodge, 172
Griffin Road, Newfield, near Ithaca. Tickets are $45; children under 12
are free. For tickets call Super Kind Imports, 8395 Oswego Road,
Baldwinsville, at 652-1949, or visit www.musefest.org for additional
information and sale locations.
