Among the ranks of Bobby McFerrin and other cross-genre jazz performers who defined the 1970s and 1980s scene, Al Jarreau
has been known to have experimented with the roots of jazz by
performing vocalese renditions of standards on dozens of albums since
his debut in 1965. In anticipation of the upcoming season, Jarreau is
currently primed to release a new holiday record in October,
