Your leadership since you have taken the office of county executive has, to date, shown such promise as to give the many who are observing you a welcome sense of confidence. This most recent decision to review and possibly proceed with significant revisions to the current plans for the Clinton Regional Treatment Facility {a sewage plant being built in downtown Syracuse} opens the way for Onondaga County to become a leader in the field of environmental planning and investment. You are opening the door in this community for the chance to invest in infrastructure that has long-term vision and sustainability.

We all look forward to watching as you progress along in your first term in this office. It will be interesting to follow your progress and the changes you are able to manage as you guide us forward as a community.
