Pop a capsule and find yourself erect as
the Eiffel Tower: The prospect of taking the “male enhancement” panacea
Viagara is undoubtedly a promising one for those men who lack youthful
vigor in the winter of their lives. Riffing on that concept, the new
comedy Viagara Falls offers the male response to Menopause: The Musical via the geriatric misadventures of Charley Millhouse (performed by Lou Cutell, who co-wrote the play with Joao Machado) and his pal Moe Crubbs (played by Harold Gould, familiar from The Sting, Silent Movie
and a zillion other flicks). To provide some zing for Charley’s 77th
birthday party, Moe hires call girl Jacqueline Tempest (actress Janice Hamilton), leading to an eventful evening of ingested Viagara and various romantic dynamics. The play opens at the Mulroy Civic Center’s Crouse-Hinds Concert Theater,
411 Montgomery St., on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 7:30 p.m. Performances
continues on Thursday, Aug. 7, and Friday, Aug. 8, 7:30 p.m.; Saturday,
Aug. 9, 2 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 10, 2 p.m. Tickets are $35,
with $5 discounts for groups of 15 or more, as well as $3 off for
seniors. For more information, call 435-2121.
