If online learning works best for you, OCC offers seven degrees and one
certificate program that can be completed entirely online. Many other
degree programs can be completed through a combination of online
courses and evening or day classes.
Also, consider pursuing your degree or taking courses in the evening.
OCC offers several degree programs that can be completed entirely
during the evenings, including Criminal Justice, Health Information
Technology, Business Administration, and General Studies.

Many degree programs are designed to enhance skills for people already
in the workforce, while others are considered transfer programs. So
whether your goal is to earn an associate’s degree, begin a new career
or grow in your current profession, why not complete your degree or
courses when it fits into your lifestyle, from your home or office,
online or in the evening through OCC?

All OCC classes are taught by highly credentialed, dedicated faculty
who are experts in their field, experts who can provide real-world
experience because many are employed simultaneously in the professions
in which they teach. The professors have a passion for teaching and are
dedicated to the success of each student.

Still think you don’t have the time to earn an associate degree and still work full time? Think it’s impossible?

Think again. Beginning this fall, OCC is offering a new Accelerated
Business degree program designed for working adults who want to earn a
business degree, but who may also be juggling the demands of work and
family responsibilities. Students will complete the series of 20
classes as a group, called a “cohort,” and will attend classes two
evenings per week—Tuesdays and Thursdays—for two years.

What sets this program apart from traditional daytime college courses
is that it directly addresses the challenges faced by many in the
workforce. While many working adults aspire to earn a college degree or
want to come back for a second or third degree, there is often little
time or flexibility to schedule and then attend classes.

Students who complete the program earn an associate of science in
business, designed as a transfer degree, which means it covers
virtually the same credit coursework as what is offered during the
first two years at most four-year institutions. OCC has more than 70
transfer agreements in place with four-year colleges and universities,
including Keuka College right on the OCC campus, to help facilitate the
transfer process.

Information and an application for the Accelerated Business program can
be found at sunyocc.edu/academics. Applications are being accepted now.

OCC makes it convenient for you to start your degree, finish your
degree, fulfill an elective, transfer to a four-year college or sharpen
your current-job skills. To learn more about any of the evening or
online courses and degree programs, contact the Extended Learning
Office at 498-6000 or go to sunyocc.edu.
