You know summer’s around the corner when the first Inner Harbor Block Party event gets going on Thursday, May 15, 6 to 11 p.m. Brand New Joe, Dead Rose and cover band favorites Under the Gun will perform, a set of groups likely to draw out the hard-rocking, hard-drinking crowd. Dead Rose may even reveal a few of the tunes from their new album No Tomorrow (Subcat), which they will officially release on Saturday, May 17, 10 p.m., at the reopened Lost Horizon, 5863 Thompson Road, DeWitt. The block party will be held in the Syracuse Inner Harbor Amphitheatre, 390 W. Kirkpatrick St.; admission is free. There will be a $5 cover charge for ages 21 and older and a $10 charge for ages 21 and younger at Dead Rose’s CD release party. For more information about either concert, call 475-2500.
