Taylor Made

.
. . . . . .

Vis-a-vis the success of Syracuse University grad Paul Taylor,
it seems the school has a knack for making people light on their feet.
Although Taylor studied art and swam at the university in the late
1940s, he went on to pursue a career in dance through an education at
the Juilliard School, and has led his own dance troupe since 1954. The
acclaimed choreographer will bring the Paul Taylor Dance Company to the Landmark Theatre, 362 S. Salina St., on Wednesday, March 26, 8 p.m., in order to showcase the group’s present works, Cloven Kingdom, Banquet of Vultures and Piazzolla Caldera.
Tickets are $15 for general admission, $5 for students and $40 for a
family four-pack. For more information, call 443-4517. Taylor will also
speak at a free event on Tuesday, March 25, 7:30 p.m., at Hendricks Chapel on the SU Hill.
