As if hosting a major PGA Tour event wasn’t enough, the Turning Stone Resort and Casino’s Showroom, Thruway Exit 33, Verona, will feature two major femme-flavored acts this week. Chick rockers Heart, which features sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, will go “Crazy On You” on Thursday, Sept. 27, 8 p.m. Tickets are $40.
Polish up those running sneakers you’ve been jogging in to get ready for this year’s Syracuse Festival of Races, which will be held Sunday, Sept. 30, starting at Manley Field House, at the corner of East Colvin Street and Comstock Avenue. The men’s 5K will kick off the event at 9 a.m., with a women’s 5K directly after at 9:45 a.m.
Ithaca native Nicholas Flair will perform his one-man show, The Other Side, at the Kitchen Theatre Company, North Cayuga and West Seneca streets, on Saturday, Sept. 29, 1 and 3 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 30, 1 p.m.
