The Herb Academy: Holiday Herb Recipes

Add a little spice to your holiday recipes! Join herbalist Deb Thorna to learn how to add more herbs and spices to your holiday dinners, parties and gift giving. We’ll play with herb blends, recipes, and a few stocking stuffers. You’ll receiver some recipes and learn how to experiment at home. There will be samples!

Enter the Build ‘Em and Bust ‘Em Bridge Building Contest at the MOST!

Fridays, October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 Do you like to design? Build? Destroy? Try something new? Paine Branch is looking for 7th-12th grade students to participate in the MOST’s bridge building competition. It’s free and fun. Competition is November 8 at the MOST. Please email dmcgregor@onlib.org to register. Pre-Registration Required by 10/1/14. We would like to enter a 7th-8th grade team and a 9th-12th grade team.

Local Author Visit

To celebrate Teen Read Week,  local author Becky Kozma will be discussing her teen book series The Eminents. Ms. Kozma will also discuss how she got started as an author and playwright and will provide useful tips to aspiring teen authors. Refreshments will be served at this interactive event and there will be giveaways for teens.
