Blessing of the Animals

Pets of all kinds are welcome to bring their owners to this special service in celebration of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and the environment. The Reverend Georgina Hegney, Interim Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral, will lead a service of “Blessing of the Animals” in M. Lemp Park (corner of Warren and Fayette Streets). Photos of lovingly-remembered pets are welcome as well. Leashes and cages are recommended, and home-made dog biscuits will be available as treats.
