On Friday August 22, we will be at the OZHOME (Baum and Neal House) 678 West Onondaga Street, for our Ribbon Cutting, filled with family and guests, and special guest and Emcee-Michael Siewert, owner of one of the largest and most famous of Judy Garland dresses, followed by the Urban Outfitters on 221 Walton Street (one the area 62 Walton Street, the Baum Castorine Co.), as we welcome Paul Berger, owner of The Baum Castorine Company in Rome, NY, then to the Landmark Theater for an incredible presentation by William Stillman and Jay Scarefone, “The Wizard of Oz: The Creation of a Motion Picture Masterpiece” and then the iconic movie The Wizard of OZ! On Saturday, August 23, join us at the Syracuse Suds Factory on Clinton Street, (once the Neal Baum & Co. Dry goods and Jobbers Store), where Carol Crossed, owner and curator of the Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum in Adams, Mass, with her presentation Women and Girls: An OZ Perspective , then meet Randy Schmidt and his book Judy on Judy, then Rick Ewigleben and Joe Shipbaugh talk about the up coming book Forever A Munchkin, co authored by the late Margaret Pellegrini, and then Then to the Palace Theater, where Michael Siewert takes you on a glamorous cinema journey with Judy Garland in the Dressing of A Legend. Michael has taken Judy’s wardrobe worldwide. And Peter Mac as Judy Garland. Peter and his producer D.J. Schaefer will bring Judy back, like never before. The transcendent talents of Peter Mac, 2013 Hallo Award Winner has been endorsed by the late Mickey Rooney and Margaret O’Brien. And there is so much more…..
