FEATURED READER Donna Davis.
A poet and former English teacher, Donna operated The Village Scribe, a book design and résumé writing business for more than twenty years. She has won several honors and received recognition as a Special Merit finalist in The Comstock Review and its precursor Poetpourri, including several honorable mentions and a second place win in Poetpourri’s national awards contests.
Her poetry has also appeared in The Centrifugal Eye, Halcyon Magazine, The Milo Review, The Altadena Review, Latitudes, and others. Her poetry favors imagistic and narrative forms of free verse, and she has found inspiration in the works of Richard Wilbur, Billy Collins, Anne Sexton, Maxine Kumin, James Wright, Walt Whitman, William Carlos Williams, and Charles Bukowski.
