Syracuse New Times to Launch Redesign of 45-Year-Old Community Newspaper

Beginning On April 2nd, 2014, the Syracuse New Times, the fourth-oldest alternative weekly in the United States, will launch a redesign of the 40+ year old newspaper, adopting a modern, magazine-quality look with to include easier to read, more attractive and enhanced content.

The Syracuse New Times is a weekly alternative newspaper published in Syracuse, New York by William Brod (All Times Publishing, LLC) and distributed to more than 1,100 locations throughout the Central New York region. Its focus is on arts and entertainment, community events, news, sports, politics and more.

Our roots have been and will always be in the arts, but we also feel the community deserves to be better informed about the big issues and significant trends happening in Central New York.  We are excited to expand and serve our readers at to an even higher level,” Brod said.

Building on a foundation of popular features like Jeff Kramer’s humor column, Ed Griffin-Nolan’s “Sanity Fair,” News & Blues, Free Will Astrology, unparalleled arts and entertainment coverage and the New Times events calendar, the newspaper will add reporting about fashion and the urban lifestyle, expand coverage of dining and provide a more prominent platform for people in the community and their views.

The new New Times will knock your socks off,” said Larry Dietrich, the editor in chief. “It represents a commitment to quality journalism in Syracuse while keeping it the best source for information about what to do in Central New York.
